English versionWordGlance 保留英文字幕，只给生词加中文提示。基础查词在本机完成；画面字幕识别也在本机进行。本地词汇版免费，AI 辅助版为付费会员功能，目前暂未开放。
1. 字幕与本机数据
扩展在支持的网页加载本地脚本，只有你为当前标签页启用注释后，才检测字幕。认识与不认识的词、自定义词义、你点击收藏的字幕例句、学习卡片及设置保存在浏览器的扩展存储中。扩展不主动建立完整浏览历史，也不保存整部影片的台词。
“自动识别画面字幕”是可选测试功能。在你开启后，扩展在本机分析视频画面，定位上方或下方疑似字幕区域，再使用内置英文 OCR 模型识别。视频图像只作临时内存处理，不上传到 OCR 服务、不写入词库或磁盘；关闭识别后停止读取。扩展不录制屏幕或音频，不要求麦克风或屏幕捕获权限，也不绕过受保护媒体。画面中拍到的招牌等文字仍可能被误识别。
2. AI 辅助版
AI 辅助版为付费会员功能，目前暂未开放。开放前，我们会披露所用服务、发送的字幕内容、保存期限和关闭方式，再由用户选择是否启用。
旧测试版本中保存在设备上的 AI 密钥不会加入词库同步。你可在扩展设置中清除旧密钥，或在供应商处撤销。请不要向客服发送密码、验证码或 AI 密钥。
3. 网站和账号同步
在同一浏览器打开兼容的 WordGlance 网站时，扩展可以把个人词库交给网站，用于复习。已经登录时，词汇、释义、例句和复习进度可以保存到网站账号下，供其他设备使用。邮箱、登录令牌等验证信息用于网站账号验证；登录令牌不加入扩展的词库数据。现有测试网站仍有访问限制，扩展的基础本机功能不要求拥有网站账号。
网站的邮箱身份验证由 Supabase 提供；已配置的网站后端用于保存账号词库。网站托管及第三方服务可能处理提供连接、安全和运行所需的 IP 地址及技术日志，具体处理以相应服务的政策为准。
4. 权限与保存期限
网页访问权限用于读取可用字幕、在视频上显示注释，以及在主动开启画面识别时读取视频像素。storage 用于保存本机设置和词库；offscreen 用于在扩展自己的隐藏页面运行本地识别引擎。本版未申请录音、屏幕录制或标签页截图权限。本次商店版未申请 AI 接口或本机 AI 助手连接的可选站点权限。
本机学习资料会保留到你删除、清理对应浏览器数据或卸载扩展。临时 OCR 图像和识别缓存不作为持久学习记录保存。已同步的网站资料独立于本机存储；卸载扩展不会自动删除网站账号或云端资料。
5. 管理和删除数据
你可暂停当前标签页的注释、关闭画面识别或 AI、限制扩展的站点访问，编辑或备份个人词库，或卸载扩展。删除本机数据前请备份需要保留的记录。
如需删除已同步的云端词库或请求删除账号，请通过下方客服邮箱联系 WordGlance，说明相关账号邮箱和删除范围。为保护账号，处理前可能需要核实你对该账号的控制权；请不要发送密码、验证码或 AI 密钥。本版尚未提供自动删除整个网站账号的按钮。
6. 数据使用承诺
WordGlance 对用户数据的使用遵守 Chrome 网上应用店用户数据政策，包括其中的限制使用要求。我们仅为字幕提示、词库和复习等已说明的功能处理资料；不出售用户数据，不用于广告、信用评估或贷款，也不向第三方转移数据供与这些功能无关的用途。除你主动请求客服协助并同意读取相关内容，或法律与安全所必需的情况外，不安排人工阅读个人学习内容。

WordGlance adds short Chinese hints to difficult words while preserving English captions. The Local Vocabulary Edition is free. Lookup and optional burned-in caption OCR run locally. The AI-Assisted Edition is a paid membership feature, coming soon. OCR locates candidate caption bands in video frames; images are transient, are not uploaded to an OCR service, and are not saved as learning records. The extension does not record audio or the screen, request microphone or screen-capture permission, or bypass protected media.
Settings, known and unknown words, custom meanings, and example sentences deliberately saved by clicking a word are stored locally. The extension does not build a complete browsing history or store an entire film transcript.
The AI-Assisted Edition is a paid membership feature and is not yet available. Before it opens, this policy will disclose the providers, caption data sent, retention and user controls. Old test-version API keys stay in extension-private storage and are not synchronized with vocabulary. They can be removed through extension settings or revoked at the provider. Never send passwords, verification codes or API keys to support.
Opening a compatible WordGlance website may synchronize your vocabulary with that site. When signed in, words, meanings, examples and review progress may be stored under your account for other devices. Email authentication uses Supabase. The existing test website has access restrictions; the extension's basic local features do not require a website account. Hosting and service providers may process necessary connection and security logs under their own policies.
Local learning data remains until you remove it, clear the relevant browser data, or uninstall the extension. Transient OCR frames and processing caches are not persistent learning records. Uninstalling does not delete previously synchronized website data. You may disable annotations, OCR or AI, restrict site access, edit or export vocabulary, delete API keys, or uninstall. For cloud-library or account deletion, contact the WordGlance individual developer at macauyouxiang@gmail.com with your account email and requested scope. Ownership verification may be required; never send passwords, verification codes or AI keys. Automatic full-account deletion is not yet available.
WordGlance's use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Data is used only for the disclosed caption-hint, vocabulary and review features. We do not sell user data, use it for advertising, credit assessment or lending, or transfer it for unrelated purposes. Humans do not read personal learning content unless you request support and consent to the relevant access, or access is necessary for legal or security reasons.
